The Chico Rod and Gun Club would like to announce
the end of the Junior Target Shooting season.
This has been the 50th Anniversary that the Chico Rod and Gun
Club has been training your girls and boys the safe shooting
sport.
The Chico Club went to Knights Landing to participate in the
NRA Four Position Junior Sectional on March 21, 2004.
Andrew Hignell took 1st place in Intermediate the Junior Division.
Ashley Bilsborough took 1st place in the prone position in the Junior
Division.
Abram House took 1st place in the sitting position in the Junior
Division.
On April 6, 2004 The Chico Rod and Gun Club
held a Parent or Adult-Junior shoot.
This is where the adults find out how hard their daughters or sons have
to work to earn their medals.
Doug and Andrew Hignell won 1st place with 341 out of 400.
Kaylinn and Andrew Hignell won 2nd place with 297 out of 400.
David and Terri Lynch won 3rd place with 275 out of 400.
The second part of this shoot is called the Sibling Rivalry Shoot.
Where the adult brother or sister shot with their younger Junior
sibling.
Garrett and Ashley Bilsborough won 1st place with 357 out of 400.
Elizabeth and David Quivey won 2nd place with 354 out of 400.
Ben and Abram House won 3rd place with 353 out of 400.

The Distinguished Expert Medal is the hardest medal to earn.
This is our Fifty Year Anniversary, we have had only 16 Juniors earn
this medal, including the three these last two shooting seasons.
The date of next sign up for the Junior Target Shooting season will be
Tuesday October 26, 2004.
At the Chico Rod and Gun Club next to Horseshoe Lake in Bidwell
Upperpark.
All new Junior shooters must take the two day Rifle Safety Course held
first and second Saturday of November 2004.
