The Chico Rod and Gun Club will be having a .22 only Two-Gun Event on Monday, April 30th at 6:00pm.
This will be similar to IDPA Action Shooting 3-Gun Events, kinda. You will be shooting a .22 rifle and a .22 pistol.
You can have a scope, red dot, or anything that you want on your guns. Bring what you have.
This is the first time that we have offered this, but although it is new, we have some very experienced people helping to put this event on.
It will be professional and safe. If you do not own a .22 pistol or rifle, there will be extra available.
If you do own gear, please try to bring a couple of extra magazines and belt magazine holders if you have them.
Since we will be using .22s, there have been some questions about inviting younger shooters. The CRandGC policy is to encourage younger shooters.
However, since we will be moving and shooting, using multiple weapons on multiple targets, and doing some very skilled shooting, please only invite the safest and most mature young shooters, accompanied with their parent or guardian.
Hope to see you there!

New Shooters: When you bring your guns into the range from your
vehicle, please make sure they are unloaded and preferably in a
range bag or box. Do not handle your weapon until we go over the
Safety Rules. You will need at least 50 rounds of ammo (preferably
100). You will need a holster, 3 magazines (4 is better), and a magazine
holder that holds 2 magazines.
Two single holders is okay if that is
what you have.
Blackhawk Serpa holsters are not allowed due to safety
concerns.
Along with hearing and eye protection.
Experienced Shooters: Feel free to come and practice. This would be
a good time to try a different gun, even a revolver. Nobody cares if
you would like to shoot using a .22 during the practices.
The practices will be very informal
with the participants deciding on what we practice that night. We
hope it will be appropriate for both beginners and advanced shooters.
